Job Summary:

The Associate Project Manager will work alongside Project Managers to manage designs and construction projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities, coordinating progress, procurement, and subcontractor and vendor management. This is an on-site position based in Anaheim, CA, ideal for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction, engineering, or architectural setting who is ready to take on greater ownership of project scheduling, bid coordination, and vendor management. You will play a hands-on role in developing scopes of work, negotiating costs, and ensuring quality projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

•        Work alongside Project Managers to manage designs and construction projects, monitoring and coordinating progress, procurement, and subcontractor and vendor management.

•        Negotiate project costs with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing.

•        Develop scopes of work and prepare Request for Quote (RFQ) packages.

•        Plan logistics to allow contractors to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.

•        Deliver quality projects within the given time frame and budget.

•        Interact with clients in a professional manner.

•        Work with Engineering, Designers, Construction Managers, and the Admin Team on project-related tasks.

•        Track and negotiate change orders.

•        Submit RFIs and submittals.

•        Prepare and maintain project schedules.

•        Create, organize, and distribute bid documents.

•        Coordinate and collect subcontractor and vendor bids to assist Project Managers in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates.

•        Evaluate bids for materials, equipment, and supplies, and select vendors for goods and services.

•        Generate purchase orders to vendors and track purchase order status.

•        Coordinate equipment and material deliveries for Project Managers and others.

•        Maintain project documentation in accordance with document control standards, including logs for submittals, transmittals, RFIs, and change management.

•        Coordinate and participate in site visits, factory inspections, and client meetings as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

•        B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted.

•        Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction, engineering, or architectural setting.

•        Proficient in Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

•        Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

•        Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to problems.

•        Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate across various levels of an organization.

•        Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced environment.

•        Experience with Procore, Timberline, and Microsoft Project preferred but not required.

•        Working knowledge of construction industry standards preferred but not required.

•        Results-oriented with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

•        High level of motivation, integrity, and commitment to team and customers.

•        Strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to quality and professional work.
