Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

The position is to work on the muon sMDT detector and electronics test stand for the ATLAS upgrade, including the firmware and software for the cosmic ray trigger. The cosmic ray trigger scintillators will need to be arranged and studied through a trigger system, and will be connected with the sMDT mini-chamber electronics readout. The successful candidate will have experience in cosmic ray detectors and their construction, triggering, as well as python and other software.
