Reporting to Risk Management Manger, this position manages the claim intake process for employee workers’ compensation claims and motor vehicle accident claims. This position requires the application of working knowledge of workers’ compensation law administrative rules, medical and legal terminology, general human resources knowledge, and Company essential job functions. May enjoy working with people, be detail-oriented, and able to adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.What would you do in this role?
Duties / Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Data entry on all new claims
- Track multiple claims simultaneously with accuracy
- Request wage statement and wage statement calculations
- Input letters
- Maintenance of current diary
- Filing and serving appropriate documents
- Completion of investigation and copy service request forms
- Input initial basic notes relating to claims
- Return-to-Work program
- Communication with TPA, Defense Counsel, Nurse Case Managers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Strong personal computer and computer software skills. Strong Microsoft Excel Skills preferred
- Solid planning and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize calls appropriately
- Ability to effectively communicate, be a functional resource to others, and work well with others
- Must be detail-oriented and maintain high levels of accuracy for high volumes of data
