Position Summary
As the Associate Creative Director at Yahoo, sitting within the Marketing Studio, you will play a crucial role in defining our creative vision and shaping the visual identity of our brand across multiple platforms. Working closely with the creative and marketing teams, you will oversee every stage of project development—from strategy and brief formulation to the conceptualization and execution of comprehensive, cross-channel campaigns. Your artistic vision and meticulous attention to detail will ensure our brand is consistently and effectively represented across all touchpoints. This role supports all Yahoo sub-brands, driving creative direction for a variety of projects, including integrated marketing campaigns, events, and experiential initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a deep appreciation for aesthetics, and an unwavering passion for creating exceptional work.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Concept Development: Create and articulate compelling visual concepts that embody our brand essence and captivate audiences across multiple platforms.
Design Execution: Lead the design process from ideation to final execution, ensuring all visual elements adhere to brand guidelines and meet the highest quality standards.
Collaboration: Partner with copywriters, designers, and other team members to craft cohesive and integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and print channels, as well as events and experiential projects.
Creative Leadership: As required, provide mentorship and direction to junior designers, cultivating a collaborative and innovative creative environment.
Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design techniques to keep our creative work fresh, relevant, and competitive.
Feedback and Iteration: Incorporate stakeholder feedback, and iterate on designs to enhance effectiveness and alignment with project goals.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Art Director, Associate Creative Director, or similar role, preferably within the media, entertainment, or digital marketing industries.
Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects and successful campaigns across various platforms.
Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other relevant tools. Experience with AI-powered design tools is a plus.
Exceptional design sensibility with a strong grasp of visual storytelling.
Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of articulating creative concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Strong project management abilities, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Passion for design and a keen eye for detail, committed to delivering high-quality work that aligns with brand standards.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
