Junior Software Engineer

DCS is looking for a junior software engineer to assist with the application of cyber forensics tools to defeat drones and IEDs.

Essential Job Functions:

Database development: The engineer will develop and maintain a MySQL database use custom-developed software to generate SQL statements for inclusion into the database and develop search strategies to identify areas of interest.

Threat device profiling: The engineer will profile firmware from threat devices using both real-time and static analysis techniques.

Regression testing: The engineer will perform regression testing of software, firmware, and hardware associated with the electronics exploitation toolkits. 

Embedded firmware analysis: The engineer will use disassemblers, simulators, COTS test equipment such as oscilloscopes, and GOTS equipment to analyze firmware from threat devices. 

Testbed Networks: The engineer will assist in devising and implementing network testbeds. The testbed network may range from COTS communications hardware using industry standard protocols to purpose-built, one-of-a-kind hardware using ad-hoc communications protocols.

Required Skills: 

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 1 year of experience.

Top-secret clearance is required.

Must have experience with the testing of software and analysis of IED firmware.

Must have experience in the use of cyber forensic tools.
