Position Purpose

Directs the implementation, continuous improvement, and monitoring of the District's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), student intervention and acceleration systems, and Summer Learning programs, ensuring coherent districtwide implementation aligned with Fort Worth ISD's strategic priorities and student achievement goals. Oversees districtwide systems that promote early identification of student needs, implementation of evidence-based interventions, and ongoing progress monitoring to improve student outcomes. Supervises staff to ensure consistent implementation, performance, and results across campuses through strong systems of accountability, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Directs the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the District's MTSS, ensuring alignment with district priorities and evidence-based practices to improve student outcomes.
  • Leads districtwide student acceleration systems, ensuring campuses implement timely, data-informed intervention and acceleration supports that address students' academic needs and promote grade-level success.
  • Provides strategic leadership for MTSS implementation by collaborating with district and campus leaders, coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring implementation fidelity, analyzing program effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement through ongoing evaluation and data-informed decision-making.
  • Directs the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of District Summer Learning programs, ensuring alignment with district priorities, student needs, and academic goals.
  • Oversees summer program design, enrollment, processes, staffing coordination, and operational readiness to ensure successful implementation across campuses.
  • Provides guidance to district leaders and campus administrators to ensure that evidence-based MTSS strategies, interventions, and systems are in place to support student achievement.
  • Implements professional learning and provides ongoing support and coaching for leadership teams, staff, and teachers, on the MTSS framework and evidence-based practices for tiered intervention.
  • Implements an MTSS intervention management system and partners with school staff to ensure effective data collection, data analysis, and program evaluation and efficacy.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and district requirements related to intervention, services, accelerated learning, and student support programs.
  • Establishes and monitors performance management systems that measure implementation quality, staff effectiveness, and campus outcomes.
  • Ensures that the necessary time, resources, materials, and technology to support program goals are allocated appropriately to schools.
  • Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the role, including regular campus visits, professional learning sessions, and occasional evenings or weekends to support district priorities and ensure high-quality implementation.

     

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates support staff.
