Engages in a program of field training to provide behavioral health services in a variety of placement settings. Provides behavioral health services including diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapeutic treatment services to children, adolescents, and/or adults in individual, family, couple, and group-clinical interventions under close supervision.

About Internships at Community Healthlink

1. Clinical Interns are in their second field placement and are more often placed in programs which provide individual treatment (in addition to other services). 

2. These interns are usually assigned a small caseload of clients in which they are providing treatment with clients under close supervision of their clinical supervisor.  This includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, providing therapy, discharge and aftercare planning, and completing clinical documentation.

Hiring Range: $15.00 - $16.00

Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

I. Major Responsibilities:  

1. Provides clinical support or treatment as defined by the level of care and service needs of the population served. Specific treatment expectations are defined by licensing and accreditation standards for each level of care and internship expectations as agreed upon between the student, school, and program. This may include diagnostic evaluations and screenings, crisis/emergency assessment and intervention, treatment planning and assessment, and individual/group/couple/and family therapy for adults, children, and/or adolescents. 

2. Engages in assessment planning, intervention and aftercare as defined by the level of care and clinical needs of the population served. 

3. Engages in clinical supervision and case consultations. 

4. Conducts standard assessment and screening tools. 

5. Participates in interdisciplinary and integrated diagnostic treatment and planning conferences. 

II. Position Qualifications: 

License/Certification/Education: 

Required: 

1. Has completed required practicum hours (or first year of field training) of a Masters or Doctoral level program in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or related program.

2. Satisfactory CORI background check.

3. Driving is not a requirement.
