Description
The art therapy clinical coordinator will develop, implement, and evaluate an art therapy program for patients and families. The clinical coordinator is responsible for the initiating and supporting work efforts that maximize quality, safety, and services. Foster positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients/families, physicians, hospital staff, community representatives, and visitors. Effectively use interpersonal communication skills to promote a healing environment. Coordinators will be responsible for clinical supervision and support of art therapy staff. Will be responsible for assisting departmental leadership with supervisory responsibilities and will represent art therapy practice at an organizational level.Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Post Bachelor's degree (Required)
Master's Degree Post Master's degree (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
6 years Minimum of at least 6 years clinical experience in a complex medical setting or similar, supervisory experience (Required)
Required Licenses and Certifications

Direct Patient Care
- Work with patients, families, and staff to understand the needs of assigned inpatient and outpatient population in relation to an art therapy program
- Meet individual patients and families to explain art therapy program, invite participation and answer questions.
- Assess individual and/or group needs and identifies goals based on assessment.
- Develop plan for art therapy interventions for individuals and groups.
- Designs and provides individual and group art therapy interventions and evaluates outcomes.
- Timely document of interventions in patient medical record according to standards developed for art therapy documentation.
