Minimum Education

6 years Minimum of at least 6 years clinical experience in a complex medical setting or similar, supervisory experience (Required)

Direct Patient Care

• Work with patients, families, and staff to understand the needs of assigned inpatient and outpatient population in relation to an art therapy program

• Meet individual patients and families to explain art therapy program, invite participation and answer questions.

• Assess individual and/or group needs and identifies goals based on assessment.

• Develop plan for art therapy interventions for individuals and groups.

• Designs and provides individual and group art therapy interventions and evaluates outcomes.

• Timely document of interventions in patient medical record according to standards developed for art therapy documentation.
