Senior Category Analytics Manager

Join our team as a Senior Manager, Category Analytics, where you will provide fact-based insights and solutions that will drive growth for Kellanova’s Portable Wholesome Snacks Portfolio. This is a high visibility opportunity where you will work closely with our General Manager and Leadership Team. We will look to you to provide advanced analytics support cross-functionally across Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Finance. The role can be based out of Battle Creek, MI or Chicago, IL and will work in a flexible, hybrid model with weekly in-office days.
This exciting opportunity supports the growth of iconic brands, inclusive of Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, Nutri-Grain, Special K Bars, and RXBAR. You will be responsible for developing critical insights, solutions, and strategic brand / portfolio recommendations. Addressing complex business opportunities, you will leverage multiple data sources, tools, analytics, and shopper insights.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Utilizing Syndicated Data – Craft a compelling story using data from multiple syndicated sources (e.g., Nielsen RMS, Household Panel, and/or Retailer Shopper Card data). Your extensive knowledge and experience will serve you well as you monitor and diagnose brand / business issues, making actionable recommendations.
- Insights – Regularly present learnings and insights to the leadership team. This information will be critical as a basis for strategic decision making and planning across sales & marketing initiatives. Bonus points if you have experience in SQL, R and Power BI.
- Category & Commercial Partnerships – Partner closely with Category Management & Commercial Strategy teams. Together you will recommend and measure test & learn initiatives with key customers.
- Performance Reporting – Developing and assisting with the management of ongoing business performance reporting / scorecard development will be key to our success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborating with cross-functional partners (Sales, Commercial Strategy, Marketing, R&D, etc.), you will identify growth opportunities and translate them into breakthrough strategies.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field
- Significant years of relevant insights and analytic experience with a consumer-packaged goods company or syndicated data vendor
- Strong knowledge of syndicated data – POS and Household Panel (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Luminate, Stratum) and its nuances
- Proven ability to bring together multiple data sources to build a compelling story and explain insights to individuals with different levels of knowledge
- Problem-solving mentality, intellectually curious, and strong critical thinking skills
