Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Implementations and Conversion Manager with a strong track record of leading complex technical projects across client implementations, platform conversions, and mergers & acquisitions within the Payments Industry. This role plays a critical part in Payroc’s strategic growth by ensuring seamless onboarding, system migrations, and integration of newly acquired entities.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience managing Agile-based initiatives, with exceptional skills in cross-functional coordination, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implementation Leadership: Oversee large-scale client and platform implementations, ensuring technical readiness, operational alignment, and stakeholder engagement.
• Conversion Management: Lead platform and system conversions, coordinating internal and external teams to deliver accurate, timely, and disruption-free transitions.
• M&A Integration Projects: Manage onboarding and integration efforts following acquisitions, aligning technology, product, and business operations.
• Agile Execution: Support Agile project delivery by facilitating key ceremonies, managing backlog activities, and tracking team velocity and capacity.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Project Governance: Develop and manage detailed project plans, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Risk & Change Management: Identify project risks and dependencies, develop mitigation plans, and support teams through change adoption.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Engineering, Product, Operations, Legal, and Commercial teams to remove roadblocks and ensure alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience leading implementations, conversions, and M&A initiatives in the Payments Industry
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification preferred
• Strong understanding of payment platforms, merchant onboarding, transaction processing, and data migration best practices
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
• Proficient in Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and similar project management tools
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
