We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Academic Transitions Coordinator (Student Services Professional II). Under the direction of the Center for Scholars (CFS) Director and CFS Assistant Director, the Academic Transition Coordinator supports the development of programs and services for five Scholar groups (Sun Family Foundation, My Future Pathways, Abrego Future Scholars, Nicholas Academic Centers, and President’s Scholars). In collaboration with the CFS Assistant Director and Senior Program Coordinator, the Academic Transitions coordinator supports and facilitates programs that foster the successful transition of new CFS Scholars into the University. Supports the development of Scholar Smart Start and collaborates with CFS staff and other units as necessary to implement the execution of the program. Coordinates with the Senior Program Coordinator for the development of programs that promote community building among Scholars and compliment their Titan Experience. Meets with Scholars within assigned case load one-on-one as necessary to help them navigate the intricacies of higher education. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public administration, business administration or a job-related field and two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or a related field. A master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience. Additional specialized and relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
