Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented SH&E Systems Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to provides expertise, advice, and technical assistance to one or more project or program managers in implementing company risk management practices and in complying with the prevailing regulatory and client SH&E requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Effectively leads full-time, part-time, and collateral duty project and program SH&E specialists in implementing work plans and the company’s risk management practices.

  • Advises and assists project or program managers and other project and program personnel in conforming with Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system and Parsons’ policies and procedures.

  • Develops site-specific work plans, SH&E compliance programs, training programs, and orientation plans fully conforming to relevant SH&E regulations, Parsons’ ESHARP management system, and client requirements.

  • Collaborates with project and program managers to evaluate (sub)contractors’ SH&E performance, planning, and culture to be consistent with the company’s risk management practices and core values.

  • Audits projects and programs and their worksites against corporate standards. Creates and submits written audit reports.

  • Inspects worksites to detect hazards and provides expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards. Creates and submits written inspection reports.

  • Effectively implements Parsons’ occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.

  • Manages and maintains digital systems that support SH&E program execution, including SharePoint for document control and team communications, enterprise safety reporting platforms, and workers’ compensation tracking tools to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely case management.

  • Initiates and conducts thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses using defensible protocols. Works collaboratively with project or program managers, craft workers, and other project or program personnel to identify effective corrective actions. Creates and submits comprehensive investigation reports and lessons learned.

  • Performs trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, incident reports, and workers’ compensation claims. Creates and submits regular analysis reports.

  • Represents Parsons during external regulatory or loss control inspections of project or program worksites.

  • Regularly seeks active and personal participation from the project or program manager, craft workers, and other project or program personnel to identify SH&E improvements and to implement the improvements.

  • Assists the project or program manager with new hire orientation.

  • Performs regulatory and best practice SH&E training. Creates and maintains SH&E training records.

  • Conducts risk assessments for upcoming work and provides SH&E subject matter expertise to work planning processes.

  • Participates in routine safe work briefings with craft, office, and (sub)contractor workers.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 7–10 years of related work experience in occupational safety and health, of which a majority should be onsite (field work).

  • Operational supporting spanning multiple business types.

  • 4-year degree in Occupational Safety & Health or 4-year degree along with 8+ years relevant Safety responsibilities.

  • Will consider candidates with 7+ years of experience in leu of degree.
