Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit located in Annapolis Junction, MD.  The team supports multiple products that automate manual tasks so that mission customers can focus on more complex issues. The team employs Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to ensure that high-quality, reliable software is delivered to the customer. The position is to be performed in a contractor facility which allows for flexible work schedules. In addition, the opportunity for teleworking is available based on tasking and customer approval.

The Systems Engineer Level 2.5 is expected to analyze user’s requirements, draft concept of operations documents, and use high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing system requirements and leads design and development activities, guide the users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. The Engineer will be the primary Technical Lead for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret / SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

• Seventeen (17) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 
• Five (5) years of Additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Benefits

• Annual Salary: $210,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the years of experience)
