We’re Freedom Forever, a solar company known for safety, quality, and innovation. We’re expanding our operations and hiring an Electrical Apprentice to join our service team! As our Electrical Apprentice you’ll work under the direction of an Electrician to perform installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems.    Job Duties:  
  • Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting system components to resolve electrical issues, and safely completing Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)  
  • Perform work with quality workmanship, compliant with current NEC and local codes
  • Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and Utility requirements 
  • Determine when additional material is required to complete job 
  • Document projects by taking photos and completing work orders 
  • Maintain Company vehicle stocked with proper tools and equipment 
  • Adhere to Company policies, and environmental health and safety policies
  • Make sure that work sites are left clean
  • Perform other duties as assigned  
Desired Qualifications:  
  • Possess or obtain an Apprentice License within state of employment, if applicable 
  • 2+ years of electrical installation and repair experience is preferred 
  • Experience performing residential electrical services and upgrading distribution panels  
  • Working knowledge of current NEC codes
  • Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines 
  • Skills using hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade 
  • Ability to read and interpret single line drawings 
  • Maintain a clean driving record and valid state driver's license 
  • High School Graduate or GED   
Physical demands and abilities:  
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects 
  • Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls 
  • Stand, walk, or run for long periods of time 
  • Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles 
  • Repeatedly kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, crawl, or reach out
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away 
  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness 
  • Determine the distance between objects
  • While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side 
  • Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm 
  • Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
  • Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods of time
  • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
