Position Overview

This role is for a research assistant professor training in health services research and an interest in neurology. A Research Assistant Professor will work closely with neurologists in the Department of Neurology and investigators in the Division of Neurology Health Services Research to contribute to and develop a mentored, collaborative research program in neurology health services research.

Candidates with a range of research training, interests, and methodological expertise will be considered. The essential criterion is that the candidate’s background and skills enable meaningful and complementary contributions to ongoing and emerging neurology health services research initiatives. This role is well-suited for early-career investigators seeking to build a sustained research trajectory within a collaborative academic environment.

Department/Division Overview

The Department of Neurology at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) consists of 15 specialized divisions, 63 physicians, 5 psychologists, 12 dedicated research faculty, 24 residents, and 14 fellows. We deliver unparalleled subspecialty care across all neurology disciplines, with services spanning 7 state-of-the-art ambulatory facilities and 3 hospitals. The department operates 27 groundbreaking multidisciplinary and personalized clinics, 3 comprehensive inpatient consultation services, an 18-bed neurocritical care unit, a 30-bed stroke ward, and an expanding teleneurology service partnering with 7 regional hospitals. Our telestroke network is among the largest in the nation, encompassing 32 affiliated hospitals. With over $15.5 million in annual research funding, OSU Neurology is at the forefront of discovering new biomarkers and therapeutic targets for neurological disorders.
