Job Description

Our North Las Vegas Fulfillment Center is looking for it's next Transportation Logistics Specialist!

• This position is full-time Monday–Friday with a schedule of 10:00am-7:00pm

Our logistics specialist will be responsible for overseeing the transportation logistics in our Fulfillment Center. They will offer support to the operations team, audit packages and processes for transportation compliance, and monitor transportation costs. They support the overall operation team in the Fulfillment Center through systems support, dock scheduling, policy and procedure maintenance, as well as carrier compliance and communication. Additionally, the Logistics Specialist provides and develops reports showing transportation costs and partners with the operations team to maintain acceptable levels of costs in each location.

A successful Logistics Specialist should have at least two years of previous experience in operations and fulfillment environment, and possess superior time management skills, strong computer skills, clear communication skills, and must be extremely detail oriented.

Our Transportation Logistics Specialist Will:

• Audit boxes (weights and DIMS) for compliance with policies and costs
• Be the local experts in our Transportation systems
• Work on all problem shipments and resolve them daily with support from the operations team.  
• Be the conduit between our internal customers and our suppliers by working directly with our transportation and operations management 
• Communicate directly with customer service to resolve transportation issues while they are at the fulfillment center
• Provide regular package quality feedback to leadership based off of packages audits performed daily
• Provides guidance on packaging recommendations
• Communicates directly with local carriers to provide feedback
• Support local leadership with the coordination of inbound container and dock scheduling.

Qualifications

Our Transportation Logistics Specialist Has:

• A high school diploma and 1 year of previous experience in operations and fulfillment
• Working knowledge of Outbound and Inbound logistics
• Strong computer skills are required - experience with Microsoft Office is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• An analytical, problem-solving personality with the ability to determine the root cause
