About the role

JOB SUMMARY

Work studies are the connection between the Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE) and the student population at Seton Hall. He/She is responsible for coordinating weekly programs through DOVE, as well as completing in-office work that will foster our programs and our relationship with outside agencies and our Catholic mission.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent DOVE at a variety of community service sites
  • Be present for mandatory work days and scheduled hours
  • Attend Pirate Adventure Orientation Days
  • Represent DOVE at reunion weekend
  • Answer office phones, take messages, send emails to volunteers
  • Keep office clean and organized
  • Post publicity for upcoming events
  • Be attentive regarding all DOVE PR
  • Recruit students for volunteer programs

 

FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT

NO -- Federal Work Study eligibility not required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with community outreach and volunteerism. Familiarity with department/office procedures. Knowledge of specific software programs as needed.

Must be registered at least half-time for Fall 2025 courses

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to drive volunteers in 12-passenger van as needed
