Part Time: 24 hrs/week
Available Shifts (Every Other Weekend Required)
1st Shift (Days): 7:00am – 7:30pm
2nd Shift (Nights): 7:00pm – 7:30am
Shift Differentials
- $2/hr from 3:00pm – 11:00pm
- $4/hr from 11:00pm – 7:00am

What You’ll Do
As an RN at RCA, you will:
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients to gather case history.
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
- Collaborate with team members to create a therapeutic environment, utilizing verbal de-escalation and therapeutic communication.
- Monitor patients utilizing CIWA/COWS assessments and measuring vital signs during their detoxification, providing medication as ordered and contacted medical providers when necessary.
- Consult with medical and other behavioral healthcare staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Prepare paperwork and medications for patients discharging next shift.
- Administer and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
- Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts (or the ability to get licensed)
- Previous experience working in behavioral health or addiction is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with CIWA/COWS assessments preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders and DSM criteria and terminology preferred
- Availability to work rotating weekends, Saturday and Sunday.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification responds well to questions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; thorough knowledge of facility proprietary systems.
