About the role

Director - Learning Strategy - Remote

ICF’s Director of Learning Strategy will innovate and lead the design, development, and implementation of training and learning programs across the company to support future growth. ICF is looking for a visionary learning leader who can effectively build teams, design engaging experiences, and spearhead the evolution of enterprise learning and development. 

Location: Remote 

What you’ll be doing: 

Design Learning Strategy 

  • Build upon existing programs and evolve the company’s enterprise learning strategy to meet business needs. 
  • Translate business strategy into a learning and development strategy for ICF. 
  • Lead and manage a team in the planning and execution of learning and development solutions and programs. 
  • Identify and select vendors to support and scale learning and development programs. 
  • Continuously improve existing courses and programs to strengthen business impact and outcomes. 
  • Bring learning programs from ‘design to delivery’ that develop the skills, capabilities, and knowledge employees and leaders need now and in the future. 
  • Explore innovation solutions and new approaches for designing and delivering impactful learning. 

Build Strong Partnerships 

  • Participate as an active partner and team member within the broader HR community. 
  • Partner effectively with business, operations, and corporate communications leaders. 
  • Work with Communications teams to develop internal campaigns supporting our Learning & Development initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including finding opportunities and alignment with other Group and Division learning initiatives. 
  • Lead and coach others, fostering growth through feedback, instruction, and encouragement that builds on strengths and identifies areas for growth. 
     

Measure and Analyze Impact  

  • Regularly collect feedback and draw insights to share with leadership to drive continuous improvement of global learning and development strategy and approach. 
  • Improve course assessments and collect feedback to measure progress and evaluate training. 
  • Recommend appropriate changes to learning programs based on feedback. 
  • Provide reporting and updates on the learning and development progress of the company. 
  • Use learning data to share skills supply and demand. 

Lead and Coach Inclusively 

  • Lead and coach a team of highly skilled learning practice leaders and practitioners. 
  • Provide thought leadership on leading practices in learning and development. 
  • Prioritize team capability and skill building to ensure team members stay up to date on leading practices and emerging ideas in the industry. 
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to discuss career growth, contributions, and performance. 
  • Support team members by demonstrating work/life flexibility. 
     

What we’ll need you to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 7+ years of L&D Learning & Development (L&D), Organizational Development (OD), or HR leadership experience. 
  • Experience managing large scale learning and development programs. 
  • Experience leading strategic talent or L&D-related initiatives, including reimagining and redesigning learning programs. 
  • 5+ years of experience working with senior leaders or executives to understand their business priorities and aligning to learning strategy.  
  • Previous experience with implementing talent intelligence or talent marketplace technology.
