As the Senior Production Operations Supervisor, you will lead a high-performing aseptic manufacturing team responsible for producing pharmaceutical products that improve the health and well-being of patients around the world. Reporting to the Manager, Aseptic Manufacturing, you will oversee sterile preparation, aseptic filling, and subassembly operations while creating a culture built on safety, quality, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys developing people, driving operational excellence, and collaborating across Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
The workweek may include first, second, third, or split shifts, as well as weekends, based on business needs.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
• Directly supervise production personnel and lead operators.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, vacations, and overtime.
• Interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop employees.
• Conduct performance evaluations and administer corrective action when appropriate.
• Ensure employees maintain required qualifications and training.
• Lead daily communication meetings while promoting accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Support employee relations and labor relations activities, including union environments when applicable.
Manufacturing Operations
• Lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure production schedule attainment.
• Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Review production documentation and investigate deviations and quality events.
• Coordinate activities with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
• Support audits of aseptic processes and supporting areas for accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree in a scientific, technical, manufacturing, business, engineering, or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; OR a minimum of twelve (12) years of supervisory experience in pharmaceutical operations in lieu of a degree.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Kronos, and Veeva.
• Demonstrated reading comprehension and writing proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse workforce.
• Self-starter and team player with strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Proven record of problem-solving, decision-making, and application of process improvement tools.
• Regular onsite attendance is required.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities across multiple functions.
• Ability to work effectively under strict production, quality, time, and performance deadlines.
• Ability to work beyond normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Union leadership experience.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand upright for several consecutive hours absent of any medical restrictions that would prevent completion of required duties. Additional requirements may vary by manufacturing line or product assignment.
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently walk between production areas while supervising operations.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust and focus.
