Server Assistant/Busser - Merwin's Wharf

The Server Assistant/Busser cooperatively works together with staff to provide a clean, safe, quality experience for guests and provides excellent guest service.

Essential Functions:

1. Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
2. Clears and resets tables, restocks supplies, removes trash, checks restrooms in a prompt and accurate manner with full focus on customer service.
3. Greets customers and provides outstanding service to all customers and the general public while displaying a positive, friendly attitude and demeanor.
4. Assists staff including servers with various needs such as greeting, seating guests and food delivery. Responds appropriately to guests requests and communicates guests' requests to the server as needed.
5. Maintains a clean and safe facility.
6. Adheres to all policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe facility.
7. Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant environment preferred.
• Just complete ServSafe program.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends with flexibility for special events.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
• Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
