Position Title: VP, Verification & Test Automation Engineering
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President, Verification & Test Automation Engineering to define and execute the strategy for verification and testing of all software, systems and AI-enabled solutions. This role ensures that products are built correctly according to approved requirements, specifications, and risk controls. This role owns testing engineering, automation, system verification, AI verification and release quality evidence, while partnering closely with Product, Quality, Regulatory, and Validation teams.

Job Responsibilities:
- Verification Strategy & Governance: Define and own the verification strategy across software, systems and AI. Establish risk-based verification frameworks aligned to product classification and system criticality. Ensure full traceability from requirements to verification artifacts to objective evidence. Serve as the executive owner of verification readiness prior to release activities.
- Software & System Verification: Lead verification across cloud platforms, mobile applications and system integrations. Drive automation first verification across unit, integration, system, regression, performance and stress testing. Embed verification into CI/CD pipelines with measurable coverage and quality gates. Influence architecture and design decisions to improve testability and verification efficiency.
- AI/ML Verification: Define verification strategies for AI/ML components including function correctness, performance consistency and robustness under defined operating conditions. Establish controlled processes for model versioning, reproducibility and chang impact verification.
- Regulatory & Quality Alignment: Ensure verification practices comply with applicable quality system and regulatory expectations. Act as leadership partner during audits and inspections for verification related evidence. Define verification documentation standards and ensure inspection ready artifacts. Support risk management activities by providing objective verification evidence.
- Organization Leadership: Build and lead a global Verification & Test Automation Engineering organization. Define roles across test engineering, automation platforms and system verification. Develop talent, technical depth and leadership succession within the organization. Fost a culture of engineering rigor, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Product Security, Legal, Regulatory, Quality Assurance) to ensure successful release of product software. Influence planning and execution to ensure verification scales with product complexity.
- Performance Metrics: Be accountable for key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Agile Implementation: Champion the implementation of agile software development methodologies across the enterprise.
- Process Reviews: Conduct regular process reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Cultural Fit and Contribution: Ensure alignment with the company’s culture and values, contributing positively to the organizational culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 15+ years of progressive experience in within the medical device verification, or quality engineering
- 10+ years in senior test engineering leadership roles
- Extensive experience with software and system verification
- Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, automation and test frameworks
- Experience operating in regulation or high-reliability environments
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
