Job Introduction The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 2500 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries. 
In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 200+ colleagues and is growing. 
You will contribute to the development of a microservices-based platform designed to integrate multiple products within the Frequentis portfolio. The platform is developed by several teams following the SAFe methodology, and is intended for use in safety-critical environments. As such, it adheres to industry standards, with high availability and redundancy being fundamental requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the platform’s strategic direction in close collaboration with the platform management team.
Key responsibilities include:• Defining product positioning and market strategy• Establishing the pricing model and associated licensing approach, in close alignment with the sales team• Managing the full product lifecycle, including sales release, end-of-sales, and end-of-support phases• Developing the strategic product roadmap and maintaining the strategic backlog
 

Key Tasks

• Managing the product life cycle (introduction, growth, maturity, decline, withdrawal)
• Defining the product market strategy, in close cooperation with Marketing and Sales
• Communicating the defined product strategy and roadmap to the product stakeholders (Executive Management, Customers, Marketing, Sales, etc.)
• Ensuring the financing of the product life cycle
• Participating in and supporting strategic management activities (Corporate Strategy, Innovation – Resource Management)
• Analyzing market(s), competitors, and product performance
• Supporting portfolio management
• Delivering the pre-sales product documentation in close cooperation with Marketing and Sales
• Cooperating closely with the OPM (Operational Product Manager)
• Monitoring and reporting achievement of strategic targets (in product and management boards)

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of Product Manager experience or similar role
• Experience managing products from concept through launch and iteration
• Ability to define product vision and strategy aligned with business goals
• Comfortable with data – can use metrics to inform decisions and evaluate success
• ATM know-how would be a plus; knowledge of standards, compliance, and safety-critical systems is valuable
• Excellent communication skills, with good English proficiency, both written and verbal
• Experience in Agile Scrum methodology
• Experience with Requirements Management software is an advantage
