Position:  Decision Science  - Data Engineering Intern

Details of the program:

• The program is open to students at a Junior or Senior level in their Bachelor’s Degree program.
• The Internship is for June 10, 2024 to May 23, 2025
• 25-29 hours per week during business hours (Business Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)
• Hybrid Schedule available
• Paid internship - $18/hour

 

What you will be doing:

This role will focus on data engineering and data visualization activities across different departments (i.e., Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, etc.). The successful candidate will assist with data ingestion and transformation activities, loading data into our data lake. Additionally, our intern will help with the refactoring of existing data pipelines.and will also assist with building and upgrading data visualizations, leveraging integration between Tableau and our data lake.

 

What you will need:

• Enrolled in a college/university for the Fall 2024 semester  Computer Science or Data Science majors a plus, but not required.
• Significant experience or proficiency writing database queries with SQL.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS) a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tool a plus, but not required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Analytical background
• High level of professionalism
• Detailed orientated, self starter, strong work ethic, team player, ability to build to build rapport and communicate confidently;
