The role:
We are searching for a passionate Fraud Prevention Analyst who is highly driven, self-motivated and analytical. You will play a key role in safeguarding SoFI’s financial ecosystem by implementing robust strategies to detect and prevent fraudulent activities in personal loan applications. This role will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure strategy performances while maintaining a smooth customer experience.

What you’ll do:
The Senior Strategy Analyst - Fraud Prevention will help SoFi develop better data driven fraud decisioning by:

Analyzing and identifying patterns related to fraud in personal loan applications.

Developing strategies and implementing measures to prevent fraud.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as risk management and technology, to enhance fraud prevention efforts.

Conducting thorough investigations into suspicious activities and recommending appropriate actions.

Utilizing data analytics and tools to monitor and detect potential fraudulent activities.

Staying informed about industry trends and emerging fraud threats to proactively address risks.

Creating and maintaining reports on fraud trends, incidents, and mitigation strategies.

Collaborating with external partners as needed.
What you’ll need:

BA/BS in Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields, or equivalent work experience

1-3 years of work experience in Data analytics, with exposure to fraud prevention and risk-decisioning procedures

Strong expertise in analyzing large datasets using SQL/Python and other statistical analysis packages to drive strategies to balance Member experiences and loss prevention

Highly motivated and ability to adapt to evolving fraud threats and regulatory requirements
