Project Manager, AdvisoryWhat does a successful Project Manager, Advisory do?
As a member of the Project Management team in Professional Services, you will work directly with Fiserv's clients to ensure successful project delivery by leading a portfolio of large-scale projects or programs with a high degree of complexity and risk. You will be responsible for project intake, delivery, and short-term post-production support while fostering ongoing client relationships. You will collaborate with key business partners to achieve success throughout the project lifecycle, often interfacing directly with our clients across multiple products, business units, or functional areas. This position provides you with the opportunity to learn several facets of our business while leading client engagements, project team discussions, and problem-solving scenarios.
What you will do:
- Lead cross-functional teams and multiple Fiserv Business Units in delivering complex projects.
- Manage project intake, delivery, and short-term post-production support.
- Foster and maintain ongoing relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Provide technical consultation throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Define project governance including roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and critical issue paths.
- Develop project delivery plans and lead problem-solving efforts during project execution.
- Ensure predictable, consistent project delivery by defining success criteria upfront.
- Communicate project progress to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in project management in a client-facing/consulting role.
- Expertise in project management processes and methodologies.
- 6+ years of experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams.
- Bachelor's degree in business or technology field or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
What would be great to have:
- 6+ years of experience taking projects from original concept through final implementation.
- Experience defining and maintaining project governance and control mechanisms.
- 6+ years of experience as a Portfolio Manager overseeing the delivery of implementation projects.
- Ability to prepare and conduct presentations, both informal and formal.
- Demonstrated skill in handling client escalations and managing stakeholder expectations.
