About the Team

Come join the SDET Test Infrastructure team for Workday Analytics! We're a diverse group of engineers that spend our time writing code to break software and increase development productivity. At the core, we are responsible for the quality of the software that we ship, and we take pride in doing so.

We build and scale our test infrastructure to match the growth of our product, keeping them fast, stable, reliable, and robust, from end to end. We use proprietary and open-source automated testing tools to support our rapid and continuous development/test/deployment release cycles.

About the Role

Workday is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Workday Analytics Test Infrastructure Team. A successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building test frameworks and tools in a multi-tenanted cloud infrastructure. They will work closely with development teams to help resolve issues with test infrastructure and tools and build new features in it.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Development, SDET and Product team to identify requirements for test infrastructure and tools and automation frameworks

  • Closely monitor CI/CD release pipeline with actively fixing and triaging wherever necessary along with making suggestions for optimization

  • Drive initiatives towards continuous improvement of developer productivity

  • Build and maintain various test environments used by DEV and SDET across engineering

  • Design and develop new features in Test Infrastructure to support partner teams with their deliverables

  • Help various partner teams with getting their issues resolved

About You

We're open to hiring a Career-level or Senior-level SDET for this position:

Basic Requirements (SDET):

  • 4+ years working as an SDET with automation experience in backend, API or UI

  • 4+ years programming in Java, Python, Scala, C, or C#

  • 2+ years using multiple automation frameworks (e.g. TestNG, JUnit, Selenium, Typescript, Robot, Pytest, etc.)

  • 1+ year using CI/CD tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, etc.)

Basic Requirements (Senior SDET):

  • 7+ years working as an SDET with automation experience in backend, API or UI

  • 7+ years programming in Java, Python, Scala, C, or C#

  • 5+ years using multiple automation frameworks (e.g. TestNG, JUnit, Selenium, Typescript, Robot, Pytest, etc.)

  • 3+ years using CI/CD tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, etc.)

Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field

  • Experience in functional (manual) testing and testing processes
