As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing a range of accounting functions within the organization. This includes ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements, managing the general ledger, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring internal controls are followed, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with tax compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Analyze and review financial statements for discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and other financial documents.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Ensure all account balances are reconciled to supporting documentation.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audit documentation and SOX compliance testing.
- Ensure the company's internal control policies are followed, identifying areas of improvement.
- Assist in preparation of corporate tax returns and stay up to date with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with senior management in decision-making processes related to financial perforce and strategy.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent degree and/or experience. CPA is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 1-2 yeas in senior or lead role.
Skills:
- Strong Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel)
- Audit experience
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
