Maintenance Technician

Part of Dover Corporation’s Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a strong, diverse and dynamic global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major vehicle lifting, wheel service, diagnostic and collision repair brands: Rotary Lift®, Chief®, Forward®, Direct-Lift®, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson®, Revolution®, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

SUMMARY:              

Perform necessary preventive maintenance to equipment and provide support to production in consistent conformance with customer expectations. Support all continuous improvement activities.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

1. Follow safety first work methods and procedures to avoid injury to self and co-workers or damage to company property, including use of all required personal protective equipment, following safety precautions (e.g. LOTO), ensuring proper machine guards, etc.
2. Lubricate and oil machinery as needed.
3. Perform necessary preventive maintenance to all equipment to ensure proper operation. Document all preventive maintenance.
4. While performing PM make necessary repairs to equipment such as replacing bearings, relays, switches, and gearboxes within ability and escalate to supervisor repairs that cannot be performed.
5. Must be able to work from ladders, lifts, and at different heights to perform duties.
6. Maintain, sustain, and continuously improve VSG Preventative Maintenance program.
7. Document use of spare parts to maintain inventory properly.
8. Perform any required maintenance welding, using electric arc or gas processes as needed while performing PM.
9. Perform minor machinery, electrical, and facility repairs as needed when found during PM.
10. Assist in the installation of new machinery and relocate machinery as needed; ensure machinery is set up properly.
11. Complete and document work assignments as directed.
12. Logging work hours in CMMS system
13. Assist in root cause analysis utilizing Dover fast problem-solving methodology.
14. Other duties as assigned.
