General Information:
 

The General Logistics Operations Experienced Professional is responsible for supporting and executing transport strategic sourcing and transport execution for general cargo shipments,  including the creation of shipping documents, co-ordination with Logistics Service Prodivers and ending with the delivery of the cargo, respectively codification/approval of freight invoices.  

That professional will evaluate operational performance of Logistics Service Providers for each shipment and  drive excellence within the different high voltage organizations by shar-ing best practices.

Furthermore, the General Logistics Operations Experienced Professional will initiate and support implementation of strategic cost savings initiatives and risk mitigation projects and is responsible for monitoring the logistics spend  and ensuring that any cost saving and/or cost slippage and/or cost of poor quality (COPQ) is reported, causes of deviations are ana-lyzed and cross functional corrective actions are identified and implemented.

The General Logistics Operations Experienced Professional will work closely with procurement and production teams to support the transport inbound and outbound process.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Transport Management G/C inbound/outbound
  • Create shipping documents
  • Manage the end-to-end G/C transportation planning, execution, freight settlement and payment and transport claims.
  • Manage the end-to-end G/C charge calculation including calculations and system updates/maintenance.
  • Support customs operations process by communicating requirements to the customs operation's specialist, suppliers, customers and transport planners.
  • Strategic Sourcing:
  • Support the additional margin negotiation for G/C by providing margin targets by business and identify additional requirements.
  • Prepare spot quotes and urgent spot quotes, identify potential suppliers, and confirm their qualification, submit spot quote requests, and clarify any related inquiry.
  • Prepare bid analysis and drive cost approval process and business award subject to the defined threshold level.
  • Initiate and/or support implementation of strategic cost savings initiatives and risk mitigation projects


Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics & supply chain management or at least 5 years of
  • experience coordinating transport and logistics operations.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
