About the role, Your Impact:
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be part of the accounting group and report directly to the Department Manager. This essential position will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Baxter & Woodman vendor invoices and employee expenses. This position will have a high degree of interaction with vendors and company staff.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job:
- Create new vendors in the software system.
- Review, approve, and process accounts payable.
- Review monthly vendor statements.
- Downloading vendor invoices for processing.
- Maintain document materials in an organized fashion, as set forth by the department standards.
- Assist employees with vendor and expense submissions.
- Review, approve, and process employee expenses.
- Respond daily to all vendor or expense-related questions.
- Provide professional customer service to vendors and employees.
- Increase department efficiencies through identifying process improvements.
- Assist with cash receipts and other accounting assignments.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education Requirement:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in General Business or Accounting from an accredited university.
Must-haves, what you will bring:
- Critical thinker and problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly developed organizational, mathematical, analytical, and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and progress work in challenging situations.
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism when dealing with internal and external clients.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel).
Compensation: The pay range for this role is $52,000 - $58,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
