Tessera is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Technical Buyer to support procurement operations at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing specialized technical materials, equipment, and services to meet project and operational requirements. The Technical Buyer will manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that comply with specifications, budget, and organizational standards.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Source, evaluate, and procure technical goods, components, and services in accordance with specifications, cost targets, and lead times.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs) to determine procurement requirements.
Solicit quotations, analyze bids, and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
