Job Description

As part of our international e-commerce product management team, you will take on a central role by owning the technical delivery of all features in one domain of the customer journey (e.g. homepage, product detail page, checkout or account area).  
Together with your team (up to 7 developers), you will have a significant impact on the future success of our E-Commerce platform.  

This role can be performed 100% remotely within Germany, but you can also work at one of our locations in Berlin, Fulda or Düsseldorf.

Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce Enterprise), Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Terraform, DynamoDB, MongoDB Atlas, Gitlab, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), NewRelic, Grafana, CloudWatch, Kafka, RabbitMQ  

Your tasks in this role: 

• Magento Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Magento platform, leveraging its capabilities to implement scalable and maintainable solutions. Stay abreast of industry trends and Magento updates to drive continuous improvement. 

• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and positive team culture. Support team members in their professional growth, providing guidance, mentoring, and conducting regular code reviews to maintain code quality. Their growth is your growth. 

• Problem Solving: Act as a point of escalation for technical challenges, proactively identifying and resolving issues to keep projects on track. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner. 

• Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical leadership to the development team, ensuring the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and efficient development processes within the Magento shop development. 

• Shaping the Roadmap: Play a pivotal role in shaping the roadmap for the Magento eCommerce platform. Identify and propose innovative technical solutions and enhancements that align with business goals and keep the platform ahead of the competition.  

• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality assurance processes, ensuring that code meets high standards of reliability, performance, and security.

• Experience as a Senior or Lead Developer in an agile development team

• Expertise in Magento 2, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and related technologies 
• Designing and building new features from scratch, and owning code end-to-end, including building, testing, deployment and operation 
• Making solutions scalable and maintainable while being pragmatic 
• Fluency in English is a must (German is helpful but optional)
