What this job involves - JLL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Thousand Oaks, California. The Maintenance Technician will provide painting and carpentry services therefore must be able to patch and paint as well as perform the repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various component of the physical structure, carpet, tile, doors, etc. of and within the buildings.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Experience with drywall, patch, priming and painting building interior and exterior surfaces
Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, controllers
Perform general “Handyman” tasks to maintain buildings, signs, and provide building maintenance, repair and restorative requests as directed
Assist the module team with maintenance, repair or support as needed
General office maintenance: hang pictures, repair office furniture systems, assembly of cabinets, fixtures, etc.
Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, client services requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance as assigned
Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
Assists other operational staff members in repair and maintenance of building equipment
Complies with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials
Maintains a clean and safe work environment
Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Must be able to document all work completed on electronic documents
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Comfortable with computer systems and learning new systems
Minimum of 2 years related experience
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and use ladders up to 26'
Ability to operate or learn to operate a lift
Good Driving Record and ability to drive a golf cart as well as lift truck
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
Able to work in a customer service environment interacting with the client
Able to stay on task and work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling
Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems
OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety certification
Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or property management

Estimated compensation for this position:
46,000.00 – 56,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
