Forge PC Team Leader ( 3rd Shift)

Job Title: Production Control Team Lead - Receiving

Reports To: QA Supervisor

Location: Forge Plant

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The team leader monitors and coordinates team activities. Give importance to individual members and the overall team’s achievements of established goals. Ensures the teams goals are aligned and represent the company’s overall directive. Acts as a liaison between team members and the rest of the organization. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience, judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a Supervisor and could assumes supervisory duties in their absence.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for 5S
• Be a team player
• Responsible for discrepancies from your shift and follow up with Supervisor
• Frequently checks on coworkers and provide direction/help to those that need it
• Attend change over meetings and address any issues
• Instruct team about 5S standards in their areas
• Responsible for investigating and eliminating any “build up” on the dock, main aisle and rack by using assistance from other personnel
• Perform cycle counts
• Follow up with spotter drivers about any findings that need reported & any full grease/skid trailers that need to be swapped out
• Work with Supervisor about assigning cross training team members
• Comply with all safety rules and dress codes
• Any other duties assigned by Manager or Supervisor

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:

• Team Lead experience preferred
• 3-5 years’ experience in production control
• Excellent verbal & written communications skills
• Self-starter
• Ability to multitask
• Organizational skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Capable of learning various software
• High School Diploma
