The Cultural Development & Wellness Center at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate and committed Bilingual Victim Advocate—fluent in English and Mandarin, Spanish, or Vietnamese—to provide vital support to survivors of human trafficking and other crimes, with a special focus on serving immigrant and refugee communities. This grant-funded position provides direct services, case management, and mobile advocacy to victims across Colorado while engaging in community outreach and maintaining accurate records and reports. Under the supervision of the Victim Advocate Manager, the advocate must work both independently and collaboratively, delivering confidential, respectful, and culturally competent support. Additionally, this role involves building relationships with service providers and advancing policy initiatives within the criminal justice and victim advocacy systems to benefit the AAPI, immigrant, and refugee communities.
Term-limited. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position that may end on/around October 1, 2025 (longer if the grant extends). This position is grant-funded and contingent on renewal of funding, which we have successfully reapplied for in the past.
Schedule. This position will work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with an occasional on-call schedule, and is eligible for a hybrid model that allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week and working from home two days. This schedule may be adjusted based on training, client, or community needs.
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus Available! *Not eligible internal employees and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation.
Based on full-time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on the first paycheck, 50% on the paycheck following 6-month anniversary.
Salary for this role. The starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
- $20.04 - $30.05 per hour
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.

Employees will receive scheduled earnings bi-weekly, equivalent to 10% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $6,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
Essential Functions:
- Provide case management and direct services through mobile advocacy, support, safety planning, and criminal justice advocacy based on victims’ needs and assessments.
- Provide immediate crisis assistance as well as support in identifying short-term and long-term needs of the client. Work with client and their family to develop safety plan.
- Connect client and their family with appropriate and available resources including housing support, employment resources, education and advocacy in criminal justice system/processes, and emergency funds.
- Oversee and maintain confidential client records.
- Provide biweekly case updates to the Victim Advocate Director.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with court, law enforcement, and victim assistance agencies.
- Participate and offer outreach efforts to communities within the marginalized communities in CO.
- Provide coverage at primary APDC offices as well as satellite offices as needed.
- Assist in monitoring and recording data and progress towards program goals and objectives.
- Provide appropriate referral information to victims.
- Attend and participate in training opportunities directly related to the position as they are made available.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the Victim Assistance management.
- This position is required to be on call for the 24-hour crisis line on a rotating basis with the other staff from Victim Assistance Department.
- Expected travel time 65%, mileage reimbursement is available
