Are you looking for a hands-on job where no two days are the same? Do you have a background in general construction or facility maintenance? The City of Olathe is searching for a skilled Facility Maintenance Team Member to help keep our city buildings running smoothly for both the public and City employees.
As part of our Facility Maintenance Team, you'll take on a variety of tasks that keep our buildings safe, efficient, and operational. On any given day, you might:
Troubleshoot HVAC systems using our building automation tools
Perform electrical and plumbing repairs
Respond to security or fire alarms
Manage and complete work orders
Collaborate with teammates on complex repairs
Provide excellent customer service to City employees and visitors

Candidates may qualify at either level listed below.
Facilities Maintenance Technician I: Two or more years of experience in general construction or facility maintenance is required along with mechanical and technical aptitude, problem solving skills, and excellent customer service skills (relevant education may be substituted for experience). A high school diploma or equivalent is required (experience may be substituted for education). A valid driver’s license and favorable driving record are required. Pay Range: $21.75 to $26.51 depending on qualifications and experience.
Facilities Maintenance Technician II: Four or more years of increasingly responsible experience in general construction or facility maintenance is required a
