We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic tech start-up team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company's corporate accounting, month-end close functions, and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. You will ensure that all accounting policies comply with generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP"), tax requirements, and other management reporting requirements.

🧠 Here’s what you’ll do:

• Manage the company's corporate accounting, and month-end close functions, including variance reporting, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, and journal entry review and approval.
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including AP, AR, expense approvals and reimbursements, commission calculations, and other general accounting functions.
• Produce accurate and timely financial statements and reports for stakeholders including the board, management team, employees, and outside parties.
• Oversee the annual audit process and coordinate with external firms to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all audit requirements.
• Formulate and recommend policies, procedures, and control systems to ensure the accuracy and security of accounting data.
• Develop and monitor internal financial control structures.
• Oversee all accounting-related systems with an eye towards continuous improvement and application of new technologies.
• Work with FP&A teams to provide input to the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

⚒️ We hope you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a tech start-up environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in and knowledge of ASC 606.
• 2+ years using Quickbooks, SalesForce
• Experience as an external auditor or alternatively leading internal audits
