Job Summary
Summary:Responsible to handle, inspect and process new and clean linen stocks and assembles linen packs and issues linen. Also cleans the work area and performs any related tasks as assigned or instructed
Does this position require Patient Care? No
Essential Functions:
-Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner. Stacks linens by folding items.
-Maximizes laundry production by monitoring workload requirements, equipment capacity, and operator availability.
-Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
-Checks stock and notifies Supervisor of supply needs
Qualifications
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience laundry/housekeeping experience 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of laundry procedures required. - Possess the ability to work in a self-supervised capacity on weekends and holidays. - Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
