Cloud Network Security Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Operates, secures, and monitors the cloud infrastructure, including system hardening, patching, and vulnerability management. Understands and translates the DoD requirements from the stakeholders to the technical teams and ensures the solutions have met the requirements. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with securing Cloud infrastructure and applications in AWS GovCloud 

• Experience with centralized logging, boundary defense, Palo Alto Firewalls, system patching, role-based access control (RBAC), Identity and Access Management (IdAM), Zero-Trust Architecture, and vulnerability scanning 

• Ability to decompose complex problems and use cases for external stakeholders and internal teams 

• Secret clearance 

• Bachelor's degree 

• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 6 months of hire  

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in enterprise level security, including domains, Domain Name System (DNS), group policy objects, or single sign on

• Experience with Splunk or other SIEM solutions  

• Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server

• Knowledge of Authority to Operate and DoD Cloud SRG requirements 

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph  

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering  

• AWS Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
