ABOUT THE JOB
As a Raw Materials Associate, you will join our Supply Chain team at the Costa Mesa and Santa Ana locations. The right person for this role has excellent organizational skills as well as great attention to detail and customer service skills. If you are someone who is able to communicate clearly, lift heavy objects, and maintain standard operating procedures then this role is for you.
A Raw Materials Coordinator is a role within the Supply Chain team, focusing on the management of materials related to government contracts. This position involves tasks like shipping, receiving, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with regulations like FAR and DFARS. The role requires strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, as well as experience with inventory management systems and potentially operating machinery like forklifts.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Shipping and Receiving: Processing incoming and outgoing raw materials, including packaging, labeling, and verify accuracy of raw material shipments.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of materials, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring proper storage in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Compliance: Material sample cutting and adhering to regulations related to government property and inventory management (FAR/DFARS).
- Material Handling: Operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials. Prepare materials for production by pulling and staging items as needed.
- Organization and Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of material quantities, costs, and locations. Support work/transfer/sales order transactions and creation if as needed.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signal machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks
- Expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules
- Organize material into an efficient picking methodology for picking/kitting
- Monitor KPIs set by Management
- Initiate opportunities for improvements
- Courier inventory as needed between Anduril’s sites in Costa Mesa & Santa Ana
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience as a warehouse associate or equivalent role
- Experience with government property and inventory management (FAR/DFARS).
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and overtime as needed
- Valid driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years forklift experience and license
- 1+ years of experience working in machine/tool shop environment
- Experience working in the defense/aerospace industry
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or other warehouse management and inventory control tooling.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent office management tooling
- Experience complying with the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) Part 52.244 and the Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS) part 252.244-7001
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to adapt in fast-paced environments
- Ability to flex as work shifts can be subject to change depending on the business need
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. clearance
