Job Overview

The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.
The Department of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine invites junior, mid-career, and senior-level (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) nuclear medicine physicians to apply for a full-time faculty position in the Department. The successful applicants will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits, and the final faculty rank/title will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.
Responsibilities include the interpretation of a wide variety of general nuclear, nuclear cardiac, hybrid molecular imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT) studies, and DEXA studies as well as the administration of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, including but not limited to I-131, Ra-223, Lu-177, and Y-90 radiolabeled agents. UC Health facilities are equipped with PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and cardiac CZT systems. The position involves regular daytime Monday-Friday coverage, with nuclear medicine weekend and holiday remote call.
The candidate is expected to participate in multidisciplinary conferences, be actively involved in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students, and foster a collegial work environment.
There are opportunities to pursue research interests and scholarly activities within the department and throughout the UC campus. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Essential Functions
- Oversee daily clinical operations of the Nuclear Medicine section
- Manage a broad imaging caseload, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, general nuclear medicine, and DEXA interpretation
- Participate in Nuclear Medicine weekend and holiday call coverage
- Perform a variety of radionuclide therapies (I-131, Lu-177, Ra-223, etc.)
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences/tumor boards
- Teach at all levels: medical students, residents, and fellows
- Engage in departmental educational activities, including:
- Radiology Residency program
- Nuclear Radiology Fellowship program
- Attend and participate in departmental and section conferences as well as subspecialty conferences relevant to nuclear medicine
- Participate in hospital and medical school committees as appropriate
Minimum Requirements
- MD, DO, or MD-PhD (or equivalent for international applicants)
