What You’ll Do

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Linux Storage Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage development on Linux platforms, with a deep understanding of SPDK, Linux Kernel Block Layer, and development in C/C++ and Python. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing storage solutions that are critical to our products and services.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time OR Fully Remote, with the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States #LIRemote

• Develop and optimize storage solutions using SPDK and Linux Kernel Block Layer.
• Design and implement robust, high-performance code in C/C++ and Python for our storage products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions into broader systems.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to storage.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in storage technology and contribute insights to the team.

 What You Bring

• Bachelors with 15+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 13+ years or PhD with 10+ years or related technical field preferred.
• Strong experience in storage development on Linux platforms.
• Expertise in SPDK, Linux Kernel Block Layer.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python development.
• Solid understanding of storage architectures and technologies (HDD, SSD).
• Strong GitHub contribution to storage development or related areas.
• Experience with QEMU development or developing using QEMU.
• Background in HDD or SSD firmware development.
