Project Overview:
Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. (BEO), a wholly owned Bechtel affiliate company, functions as the construction equipment asset manager of Bechtel Group and is actively engaged in projects across all business lines. In support of its involvement, BEO uses sophisticated estimating and scheduling systems to assist projects in developing bis proposals, equipment lease versus purchase analysis, tool and consumable utilization forecasts, scaffold estimating and supply, and overall construction fleet utilization plans. Headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, BEO also manages several permanent global equipment storage and support facilities.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will plan, direct, and control the inspection of purchase and rented equipment. You will plan and coordinate inspections with vendors, the BEO inspection team, office Equipment management and procurement. Your inspections will help ensure equipment quality, quantity, and safety requirements can be met. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
Works to support the inspections for all projects where BEO equipment is supplied.
- Plan, direct, and control the inspection of purchase and rented equipment.
- Plan and coordinate inspections with vendors.
- Provide inspections assignments to individual inspectors.
- Inform Operations Management, Equipment managers, and procurement of inspection statuses.
- Assist in travel arrangements and coordination to complete inspections
- Ensure equipment has all required safety features and required specifications
- Write and submit inspection reports
- Follow up with vendors and equipment managers on repairs and reinspection.
- Monitors and ensures that the quality of work performed meets requirements.
- Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by BEO management.
- Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and in safe operational order.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of and experience in operating the following equipment (or equivalents): Caterpillar Earthmoving Equipment, Demag, Liebherr, Manitowoc, Terex and Grove cranes, JLG, Gradall, IR forklifts, JLG and Grove Manlifts, along with Caterpillar, Cummins, and Perkins engines.
• Understands equipment warranties, performance guarantees, and equipment fitness for use.
• Knowledge of equipment safety requirements and practices.
• Knowledge of heavy-industrial equipment management work processes and procedures.
