Position Title: Rental Lead

Location: Hoback Sports – Jackson, WY

Classification: Summer Seasonal FT

Job Duties

• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, managing, and motivating rental staff to ensure consistent performance and strong team culture.
• Guide guests through the bike rental process with an emphasis on efficiency, accuracy, and outstanding customer service.
• Educate guests on available bike and demo packages, including bike types, suspension setups, sizing, and protective gear, to ensure the best match for riding ability, terrain, and trail conditions.
• Perform basic maintenance and safety checks on the rental fleet, including drivetrain adjustments, brake bleeds, and pre‑ride inspections.
• Open and close the Hoback Sports store as a key holder, following established opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain efficient daily operations of Hoback Sports rental department.
• Work with rental staff to ensure proper cash-handling and charge procedures are in compliance.
• Create, modify, and manage rental orders in the POS system, including preparing orders for the following day.
• Execute daily operations of Hoback Sports including morning meetings, opening/closing procedures, reporting, and auditing.
• Support the retail department during periods of high customer volume as needed.
• Partner with the Rental Manager to maintain store cleanliness, organization, and professional presentation standards.

• Loves the sport and wants to share that enthusiasm with others.
• Has knowledge of e‑bikes, MTB, gravel, road, or other cycling disciplines (or is excited to learn).
• Has basic bike mechanic skills.
• Provides warm, engaging customer service and enjoys talking all things bikes.
• Comfortable working with diverse groups and all ages.
• Has retail or cash handling experience (preferred but not required).
• Understands (or is eager to learn about) Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and the local cycling community.
