The Registered Nurse - Corporate will provide direct nursing care at multiple correctional facilities on a temporary basis, including assessments, medication administration, patient education, and treatment coordination. This role requires adaptability to different healthcare settings, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, facility policies, and infection control procedures. The Registered Nurse - Corporate will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to maintain high-quality care and contribute to a safe, efficient healthcare environment.

Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans according to established policies and procedures.

Conduct initial medical screenings and assessments for all incoming inmates and provide ongoing healthcare as needed throughout their incarceration.

Perform comprehensive physical assessments and history reviews to determine patient health status and prioritize care needs.

Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and medical interventions in compliance with physician orders and healthcare protocols.

Provide care for patients with chronic conditions, acute illnesses, and mental health issues, coordinating with other healthcare providers as necessary.

Respond to and manage medical emergencies, including trauma and medical crises, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.

Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with facility policies and legal requirements.

Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and local healthcare regulations, as well as facility-specific policies.

Ensure proper documentation and reporting of medical treatments, interventions, and patient outcomes, including maintaining detailed medical records for audits and compliance reviews.

Participate in the collection and submission of patient data for quality improvement initiatives and regulatory reporting.

Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional officers, to provide comprehensive care to inmates.

Collaborate with facility leadership and healthcare providers to address and resolve patient care issues and improve health outcomes.

Communicate effectively with patients, their families (as needed), and correctional facility staff regarding treatment plans, health education, and health-related concerns.
