Job Overview
The Business Operations Supervisor will lead a team of Business Operations Generalists, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution of all data center (DC) operational processes and delivering exceptional customer experience. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for DC operations and is the escalation point for Generalists and master schedulers. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing case and job creation, work order dispatching, and adherence to project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Operations Generalists to ensure consistent, high-quality execution and exceptional customer experience.
- Serve as SME for all DC operational processes, providing guidance and expertise.
- Act as the escalation point for Generalists and master schedulers.
- Oversee case and job creation, work order dispatching, and adherence to project schedules.
- Ensure accurate purchasing, Procard usage, parts ordering, goods receipt, and invoice processing in accordance with Carrier standard work and policies.
- Maintain financial controls, including cost syncing to S/4, clearing accounts, Procard matching and approvals, and cost transfers.
- Submit and manage credit requests, invoice cancellations, proforma requests, and taxable VISA reconciliation.
- Ensure completed billable jobs are invoiced and completed warranty jobs are claimed.
- Ensure compliance with COI, safety requirements, internal/external audit processes, revenue-driven controls, and internal policies.
- Follow policy procedures for scrap metals.
- Drive adherence to standard work, operational cadence, and daily management KPIs.
- Support project reviews and collaborate with project managers, generalists, and master schedulers to ensure successful outcomes.
- Serve as the primary backup for the master scheduler.
- Be the gatekeeper for the team’s schedules, ensuring continuous support to DC customers.
- Accountable for team performance to KPIs, and for identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in scheduling and operations, or project coordination within the HVAC, industrial, or commercial service industry; Associates Degree with 7+ years’ of experience in scheduling and operations, or project coordination within the HVAC, industrial, or commercial service industry or a High School Diploma or GED with 9+ years’ of experience in scheduling and operations, or project coordination within the HVAC, industrial, or commercial service industry.
- 2+ years’ experience supervising and leading a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience supervising and leading a team within the HVAC, industrial, or commercial service industry.
- Knowledge of enterprise software (Salesforce, ServiceMax, SAP S/4Hana, etc.)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.Other Compensation
