You Are:

AFS IT is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer that is ready to roll up your sleeves and tackle a multitude of complex, technological cloud computing challenges. From design, planning, management, and support - you will help AFS IT develop solutions for IT challenges and champion our vision to get off prem and into the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing cloud and onprem platforms from both an engineering and operations prospective utilizing devsecops methodologies
  • Ensure security compliance with NIST 800-171
  • Utilize Azure Arc for managing resources across on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments
  • Design, Deploy and Support Azure cloud native components such as Availability Zones, Storage, Serverless, Load Balancers, Containerization, System Administration, Backups, Patching, etc.
  • Managing and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute and virtual networks within the Azure Cloud platform
  • Supporting Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for proactive monitoring and logging of Azure Resources and Services along with alerting, reporting and dashboarding
  • Implement access management for core azure services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud solutions and services in our Azure Commercial, Azure Gov, and OnPrem infrastructures
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks but also work well in a cross-team environment
  • Involved in workstreams where you are an active contributor and can talk to the progress and results of assigned tasks
  • Work both engineering stories from an agile board and operational tasks from a ticketing queue.
  • Enjoy learning new technologies quickly and staying up to date on cloud technology

Here's What You Need:

  • US Citizen on US soil (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS design, deploy, and support
  • 4+ years of experience in Windows Server administration (Server 2019, 2022 preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience Operating an Azure environment (Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, Patching, Backups, Site Recovery)
  • 1+ years of experience with Azure ARC
  • 1+ years of experience with Azure RBAC and Access Management
  • 1+ years of experience with Infra as Code (IaC) (ARM, Bicep, Terrafrom preferred)
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships with fellow team members
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to be on call as needed.

Bonus Points if you have: 

  • Azure Administrator and/or Architecture Certification
  • Experience migrating onprem systems to the cloud
  • Experience with Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery
  • Experience with Azure Network, Compute and Storage systems
  • Experience managing Windows Servers with Hyper-V and/or Azure ARC
  • Experience with Azure Automation
  • Experience with Infra as Code (Bicep preferred)
  • Experience with Windows Server configuration management, performance testing, capacity management, system monitoring and alerting, update management and cost management
  • Experience implementing STIGs (NIST, DISA, CIS preferred)
  • Experience with On-Prem infrastructure - SAN, DAS, Host configurations

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
