Job Description:

Role Overview:

This leadership strategic sourcing and contracting role is responsible for developing and driving high-level Sourcing strategy including defining objectives, policies, and procedures, establishing negotiation strategy, and the management of contractual documents organization-wide, with a focus on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) expertise.

This role is based in Dallas TX requiring in-office presence 5 days/week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement corporate-wide strategic sourcing policies that enhance operational effectiveness and establish robust business relationships with OEM vendors and customers.
• OEM Expertise: Leverage deep expertise in OEM sourcing to create and maintain competitive advantages and ensure the highest quality and cost efficiency in the procurement of goods and services.
• Policy Development: Formulate and enforce tactical and strategic policies that align with corporate objectives and ensure consistent application across the organization.
• Contract Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with fiduciary controls, corporate guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sourcing and contracting functions.
• Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction through managers, advising senior management on contractual rights, obligations, and interpretation of terms and conditions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and other relevant departments to ensure cohesive and comprehensive management of sourcing and contracting activities.
• Environmental Compliance: Ensure the organization’s compliance with environmental laws and regulations related to procurement and contracting, including but not limited to hazardous materials, waste management, and emissions.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals.
• Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Ability to identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them

Preferred:

• Extensive Experience in Sourcing/Procurement:  10-15 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
• Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in the Telco industry from Carrier or OEM perspective
• Certifications: Supply Chain Professional Certifications
