Position Summary
This role is responsible for A&P type maintenance services related to both the airframe and powerplant, to include component changes, rigging, functional checks, inspection, troubleshooting and basic understanding of both avionics and structures routine maintenance. A Level 3 Technician will have between 10 to 15 years of aviation maintenance training and experience, with at least 3 years on a Metrea A/C Type. The ideal Level 3 Technician will have an A&P License and 2 Gen Fams on Metrea A/C types or other related aircraft. The Level 3 Technician will have a proficient knowledge of all maintenance manuals, tasks, and troubleshooting skills required within their given fleet types. The Level 3 Technician will take direction from an AMT Lead, but mostly works unsupervised on routine maintenance task(s) and often mentors' mechanics of lessor skill and experience while working together on aircraft.

Essential Functions Statements
- Ability and willingness to mentor less skilled mechanics when working together on tasks.
- Maintains the highest level of quality and workmanship in accordance with (IAW) published authority, ensuring compliance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) requirements.
- Adequate skills to effectively troubleshoot, repair, install, rig, and modify systems without direct supervision.
- Proficient experience with integration of new aircraft systems or other electronic systems within an airframe by interpreting engineering drawings and using standard practice experience to overcome challenges routinely encountered during extensive aircraft modifications.
- Some experience with the STC approval process, conformity of parts, first article inspections, document control and red lining procedures. This would include experience working with Engineering, ODA’s, DER’s, DAR’s and Quality Control to ensure the success of a project.
- Coordinate with inspection department to complete proper paperwork required for each installation/repair.
- Assist AMT Lead when requested to help coordinate with other departments on installations and/or repairs of assigned projects.
- Assist supervision by identifying issues with proposed parts and drawings utilized to accomplish major alterations or modifications to company aircraft.
- Assist enforcement of company and departmental policies.
- Advise AMT Lead of any assigned personnel’s work-related issues.
- Could be called upon to lead AMT personnel in the absence of regular AMT Lead.
- Provide proper accountability of personal tools IAW local repair station policies.
